We’re pleased you’ve made it to our website, and are viewing this page.  By continuing to use our website, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by our terms and conditions as set out in this document, used in conjunction with our privacy policy.  If you disagree with any part of these documents, please do not use our website.

Prices

All prices quoted on our website are shown either including or excluding UK VAT where appropriate.  We make every effort to keep the prices up to date but we reserve the right to change the prices at any time without notice.  It may be that the prices shown are incorrect due to external circumstances.  We have no statutory obligation to sell goods at the price shown if that price is incorrect. The Prices shown are for our standard ‘off the shelf’ products and are not applicable for the custom products that we also offer.  It is recommended that you contact us to get a quote for a particular custom product that you wish to commission.  We cannot guarantee that we can supply a custom product as a mail order item.

Delivery

Orders are always shipped at the first opportunity.  If an item is not in stock, it may be necessary for us to fabricate all or part of that item.  In this case the delivery can be delayed.  We will endeavour to contact you at the time of order to confirm a delivery date.  As our deliveries are made by a third party courier, we cannot guarantee a delivery date or time, only a confirmation that we have dispatched, and tracking details.  You will need to sign for your delivery, by doing so you are agreeing to the couriers terms and conditions, normally meaning that the package has arrived and you are satisfied that it has arrived in good condition.  If you are unable to check that the goods have arrived undamaged at the time of delivery, please mark the signature ‘UNCHECKED’.  By doing so, the courier company may still be liable for the damage.  In any case Damaged Goods must be reported within 24hrs of delivery.

For Overseas orders it is advisable to contact us at sales@demandengineering.co.uk before placing an order.

Payment

We accept payment via all major Credit and Debit cards as well as Paypal and Direct Bank Transfer.  Our Payments are taken through our Worldpay Payment Gateway.  Demand Engineering do not collect or have access to your credit card details.  All information is collected off-site through the Worldpay website.  We reserve the right to refuse acceptance of payment details if we think that are being used fraudulently.

Returns

Please call or email sales@demandengineering.co.uk prior to return.  For Goods that are not longer required, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you are free to cancel your order and return unwanted goods within fourteen days of delivery.  Please notify Demand prior to return.  Upon satisfactory inspection of the returned Goods, we will issue a refund to the payment method used at the point of sale.

We reserve the right to refuse returned Goods if necessary.  Reasons for this may include: Goods that have been used, Soiled Goods, Goods that have an odour i.e. Smoke or fuel, Goods damaged as a result of misuse or ill-treatment.

Demand Engineering Cannot be held responsible for Goods that have been incorrectly ordered online.  If you have previously discussed the order with a member of staff, we can only on the information given at the time.  If you are unsure as to what to order, please call us and we will endeavour to help as best we can.

Images

We make every effort to ensure that the images that we use are accurate and up to date.  All images used on this website are either owned by us or used with the owners permission.  The copyright remains with the originator.  We take the misuse of our images very seriously.

Communication

Once an order has been placed, we will contact you via email in order to ensure a high level of service.  You will be emailed to notify of dispatch and may be emailed separately by the courier.

Guarantee

Demand Engineering Guarantees its products in the respect of manufacturing defects for the lifetime of the product as bought and fitted by the original owner.  It is a requirement of the Guarantee that the product be fitted correctly (preferably by an automotive specialist) and that the vehicle to which the product is fitted is maintained in a roadworthy condition.  In the case of flexible exhaust parts, this warranty is 24 months from delivery.  We will not accept a warranty claim based upon mechanical damage to the product, whether intentional or accidental.  We will not accept a warranty claim on a product that has been incorrectly fitted.  We advise the fitting of new Rubber components with a new exhaust product.

Conditions and limitations

  1. Repairs made by any third party will invalidate the guarantee
  2. This guarantee does not cover any form of consequential loss of damage howsoever caused.
  3. This guarantee does not cover:
    1. Surface discolouration or corrosion other than corrosion that results in leakage
    2. Damage caused to any part of the exhaust system as a result (direct or indirect) of worn engine or gearbox mountings or excessive vibration.
    3. Damage caused by physical impact of any kind, including off road use.
    4. Damage caused as a result of the failure of a rubber mounting, unless supplied and fitted by us.
    5. Damage caused as a result of serious engine wear resulting in fuel or oil contamination to silencer materials.
    6. Vehicles used in any sort of competitions
    7. Alterations or modifications carried out by third parties.
    8. Failure of Statutory legislative inspections.

Emissions products (including Downpipes)

Where we have supplied an emissions product of any kind, either cosmetic or functioning, it is supplied under the understanding that, unless specifically stated in the item description, we will not warrant that the product will at any time pass inspection by legislative powers, government agents, or independent authority of any kind.  By purchasing these products, you are entering into an agreement that you are assuming all rights and responsibilities for the use of the products that we have supplied.  We have no control as to how our products are fitted and used.  We have supplied the goods understanding that you, the purchaser, is responsible for the fitting and use of products, and complying with territorial regulations and laws for the country(s) in which the product is to be used.  Demand Engineering Limited will not accept any liability as a result of these products being used inappropriately, or illegally.  Certainly, in the case of the UK, it is illegal to tamper with vehicle emissions controlling products. You have been warned!
