For High Performance or tuned applications, go for 3″ Downpipes, and systems.

The Td5 Engine is Moderately loud to begin with.
Your requirements for Volume will differ according to personal taste, vehicle specification and body style.
( An empty Van will ‘drum’ much more than an insulated Station Wagon)

When Choosing a Downpipe, the Current MOT requirement in the UK is that where a vehicle was fitted with a Cat from New, it should always have a Cat fitted. The Check is a Visual one at MOT time.
